Lanark Universal Connections is located on St Vincent Place in Lanark. The staff and volunteers in the UC strive to increase opportunities for young people in the Lanark area by consulting with them and providing the activities they want in a fun and constructive fashion. They also have a strong partnership with Stanmore House School providing group work and support for young people with severe additional needs.
Many young people who were previously Lanark UC service users have gone on to become youth workers/volunteers within the service. We currently have 4 Occasional Staff members and 2 full time members of staff who all attended UC when they were younger - one of which was the 2nd young person in Scotland to receive a Platinum Youth Achievement Award.
