Regen:fx Youth Trust has launched a new Youth Work Training Academy for
young people interested in becoming a volunteer youth worker in their
community.
If you sign up you will be offered free training, support and work experience that will help you with your future job prospects.
Who can apply?
Young people aged 14-21yrs living in Blantyre & North Hamilton, Cambuslang & Rutherglen and Larkhall.
What will you do?
• Basic Youth Work Training
• Digital Cre8or Computer Qualification
• First Aid
• Child Protection
• Work Placements
• Food Hygiene
• Basketball Qualifications
• Youth Achievement Awards
• Setting up new Youth Projects
• And Much More!
The
training and work placements take place in the evenings and occasional
weekends. You will also be offered the chance to participate in a
residential weekend away.
How long does It last?
The course lasts up to six months and you will participate in approx 9hrs of training and work experience per week.
Travel expenses and branded clothing will be provided for all participants.
