 Regen:fx manages an exciting new Sports Coaching Training Programme for South Lanarkshire. Love sport, but don't know how to get a job in the leisure industry? Why not become a sports coach trainee? You'll get all the training you need, plus a work placement. You'll learn how and what to coach, and you'll get the correct qualifications and certificates to enable you to work with children and young people in your chosen sport.
Who can apply? Young People aged 16-25 years, from: Blantyre, Burnbank, Hillhouse, Whitehill, Fairhill & Low Waters, Cairns & Halfway, Burnhill, Westburn and the Circuit, Fernhill, Whitlawburn, Cathkin and parts of Larkhall
What you'll do! Two Modules at Motherwell College Sportscoach UK Workshops Important stuff to Work with Kids Sports First Aid Work Experience/Placement 3 days at an Outdoor Centre At least one Sports Specific NGB Award (Basketball, Handball, Badminton are current options - Football will not be part of this course, but may be available for students to complete in their own time)
How long it lasts: The course will run 3 days per week and students are required to attend up to 10-15 hours per week.Travel Expenses, trainee tracksuit, sports kit and lunch will be provided to all students.
